Intro 

Huff N’ Even More Puff Grand is Light & Wonder’s enhanced follow-up to the original Huff N’ Puff series. You know we love some Huff n Puff here… well, some of us! I do, so I’m going to give this slot a review, sorry Matt, sorry Tom. However, there’s yet to be a set release date. We have seen this game circle the floors of Las Vegas for a while now. I’m sure Light and Wonder will want to see it come soon. It’s a great money earner. They wont miss out on that. So I thought I would get ahead of the game! You can still play this slot on the Arcade in the meantime!

 
It builds on the familiar fairy-tale 3 Little Pigs theme, while pushing progression and jackpot potential much further.  This version is clearly designed for players who enjoy slow-building tension and the chance of very large payouts. Anything that has the words ‘Grand’ in the title, you just know it’s going to be volatile.  

Huff n Puff began is epic rise to stardom in the Vegas casino machines. Light and Wonder then bought it the online world. We are so thankful for this. So, let’s see what’s new in this instalment of Huff N Puff.

Visuals and Audio 

The visuals stay close to the storybook village style seen in earlier games. Huff N Even More Puff Grand has , pigs, bricks, and straw symbols are clear and easy to track during play. Animations focus more on clarity than spectacle. This works well, especially when multiple house upgrades occur at once. 

There isn’t a great deal different here. But I am fine with that. The wheels in the background add nice depth. The colours pop, it just works. Sometimes, it’s hard to reinvent the wheel right? When you have a type, you have type, huh?.  

The soundtrack is light and playful, but it becomes more dramatic during bonus features, helping build anticipation without ruining your experience.  

Gameplay 

Base Game 

Base game payouts are generally modest. You arn’t going to see many big wins on the reels. The Wolf wild that lands helps, and best yet he isn’t afraid to appear. Not so big and scary when he brings the cheese. There isn’t a ton of symbols, so its nice and simple to follow. It’s a real easy spinning slot.  

 
Most of the excitement comes from winning those bonus rounds though. The first base game trigger are hardhat symbols, which appear on the reels. These are one of the triggers for a bonus. That said, you want the buzz saws. 3 buzz saws will grant you the wheel bonus.  

Hold & Spin Bonus 

The Hold & Spin feature triggers when six or more hardhat symbols land on the reels.  Once activated, the reels lock and the player is given freespins. Hardhat symbols remain in place during the feature.  Landing 3 new hardhats adds one more spin. Keeping the bonus alive.  Existing houses can also upgrade, significantly increasing their payout values. Look we would spend a hour breaking down every single thing, but they all play very similar, with just slight upgrades between them. You can find our previous Huff n Puff review, which I did cover more in. Today I will try to just cover what’s new. 

This version introduces six jackpot tiers: Mini, Minor, Major, Grand, Super and Ultra.  

Many bonus rounds will end quietly. However, when upgrades chain together late in the feature, wins can escalate very quickly. This makes the bonus round the clear heart of the game. 

So, this new third wheel. Over time we have seen the wheels added to Huff N Puff, and now we have 3. This wheel contains: Super Jackpot, Super Mega hat feature, Super Buzz saw Feature, Ultra Palaces Feature, Ultra Jackpot,  Super Mansion Feature, Grand Jackpot,  Ultra Mega Mansion Feature,  Major Jackpot and Ultra Hat Feature.  

So what’s worth knowing in Huff N Even More Puff Grand? Well, the Palaces are basically. This is a direct upgrade to the mansion. No longer is the mansion (Brick) frame the best. If you get the ultra features, you can level all the way up to Palace. Obviously all the previous features remain in place, and are the same.  

The payouts for the Palace Frames, might shock you though. With a minimum of 15x, it could still sting a little, not reaching the big numbers. But they do go up to 150x (this is the same as the brick frame) and can include jackpots. However, you can win up to the Grand Jackpot. The ultra is not available here.  

From the reems of in-game information, it looks like you need to land the Diamond Buzz Saw, another new upgrade. This will unlock the Ultra wheel. Here is where you can have a chance to land the Ultra jackpot!  

Final Thoughts 

Huff N’ Even More Puff Grand is a slow-burning, high-volatility slot built around anticipation and progression.  The base game is deliberately restrained, focusing on setting up future potential rather than delivering constant wins. 

Players who enjoy long sessions and rare but meaningful bonuses will find plenty to like here.  Those seeking frequent action or fast returns may find it demanding.  Overall, it is best suited to players chasing big moments rather than steady payouts. 

I may bring this into rotation when it launches, but with it being a Grand, or 1000 style, its going to be a lot harder to land a consistent profit. If you do get a win, it might be a smash and grab! We opened with Pirots 1 and it reminded me why the series took off in the first place.
