Hi guys, we are back with another new slot release. Landing on the 18th December, we have World Eaters. This is the latest slot release by ELK Studios. You know we love our Elk slots here at the 10p Gamer. The studio who brought us the Pirots franchise.

The magic of Elk is their ability to break the moulds of what we may expect from a slot. If you are familiar with the game Slurpy by Elk, then you may have a better understanding of how this game works. With the reels filling from the bottom, and monsters/characters at the top, they will eat their colour-matching counterparts. Thankfully, we also have plenty of new exciting features with this new slot.

Set in changing environments, based off your progression through the base game, we see plenty of different backgrounds. Above the reels are four different monster collectors, with each spin bringing two collectors at a time. It’s certainly not just a reskin of Slurpy, and it promises to bring plenty of new exciting spins for us. So let’s take a deep dive into World Eaters.

Visuals and Audio

Graphics are rich and splashy, with each “world” sporting its own backdrop, from idyllic seaside vistas to fiery volcano plains. Animations feel lively and organic as monsters shift, gulp, and gobble their way across the screen.

The soundtrack grooves with a mix of sci-fi oddball ambience and upbeat tones that keep the mood playful rather than ominous. It’s like watching a sci-fi cartoon where every spin feels alive and unpredictable.

Gameplay – Base Game and Bonus Features

Base Game

World Eaters ditches traditional paylines in favour of a Collector system. Two monster collectors hover above the grid each spin. They eat symbols matching their colour that have a clear path to the top row, awarding wins for every symbol consumed. After a win, symbols cascade upward (unlike classic downward cascades), and a new collector joins from the right. This creates a dynamic chain reaction where wins can trigger multiple cascades in one round before the spin ends.

Special Symbols & Features

Multiplier Wilds boost a Global Multiplier, which powers up your total wins.

Coins pay out set values, so 5x coin is 5 times stake etc, anything not collected can be stored in the Piggy Bank, which may explode to trigger big coin drops.

Grey Houses act as blockers, but can transform into wins next to matching symbols.

It’s a multilayered system that rewards strategic symbol eating and maximises chaos.

World Evolution Progression

What really sets this slot apart is its evolving worlds.

There are five worlds total.

Trigger a world’s feature three times and you unlock the next world with a new mechanic or visual twist.

This gives a real sense of progression and keeps the base game feeling fresh as you unlock new mechanics and grids that affect gameplay. I will cover this in more detail shortly.

Bonus & Special Features

Bonus Game (Free Spins / Super Drops)

Land 3 Bonus symbols to trigger the bonus game with 3 Super Drops, this is just another name for their free spins. The grid expands (often to 7×7) and symbols stack for big potential wins. In this mode, UFO symbols can summon the Ultra Beast, which clears the screen and gobbles all symbols, triggering massive win sequences.

The bonus round is certainly volatile, in standard Elk fashion. You can also land additional spins/drops by landing a bonus scatter. Let me tell you, you will need them. You’ll often see a mass of red brick symbols and no red collector. Whilst it’s not dead-drop central, you’ll certainly see many drops return you pennies. But that’s the magic of Elk. When the big wins come, they bring super excitement.

The bonus scatters don’t need to be eaten either. So long as they appear, you’ve got them, unlike say Pirots. During the bonus, the Piggy Bank will collect any unused coins. These can then trigger randomly. When they do, it drops new symbols, with lots of coins on the reels. However, you need to “eat” your way to them. Let me tell you, it doesn’t come easy.

Super Bonus

In good old-fashioned ELK Studios style, the Super Bonus is the one you really want. Rare as rocking horse plopsies, but that makes it all the more special when you get them.

You still only get 3 spins/drops. You start the round with a 10× multiplier already. You really want the Alien special character to land. If they do, they eat everything and grant the win. The Alien can eat several screens’ worth before deciding to leave, letting the usual collectors return.

Extra Features

During spins, you can find Grey House symbols. These can change into an adjacent paying cluster, granting extra cheese.

You can collect coins, and these simply multiply by the stake. Any uncollected coins will go into the Piggy Bank.

Finally, there are Multiplier Wilds. These will multiply the base win of each symbol, going into a global multiplier.

There are also world features. Firstly, a whale who will clear all symbols on that column, forcing more symbols to refill. Getting this 3 times will unlock the world using the Pipe feature.

The Pipe feature allows you to collect symbols from behind the wall at the bottom. Triggering this 3 times will grant the Fireworks feature.

The Fireworks feature will shoot fireworks, transforming any Grey Houses into Multiplier Wilds. Triggering this 3 times will unlock the Tree feature.

The Tree symbols will spread more trees into adjacent empty spaces. They will turn into payout symbols or Multiplier Wilds. Three triggers will unlock the Volcano feature.

Finally, the Volcano feature will trigger the collector that collects it to go berserk. It will then remove any symbols not matching itself. It will keep refilling until no new symbols of its own type appear.

Bonus Round Features

As mentioned, you can get an Alien who will scare off other collectors or eat the entire board. This can repeat. I had it repeat four times in a Super Bonus, landing some big cheese (demo). This is triggered by a UFO symbol appearing.

X-Iter Bonus Buy Options

If available in your region, you can buy the following X-Iter feature spins:

Bonus Hunt (3× stake)
Mega Bonus Hunt (10× stake)
Epic Bonus Hunt (25× stake)
Direct Bonus entry (100×)
Super Bonus (500× with a starting multiplier boost)

These give players control over how quickly they enter high-intensity rounds.

Final Thoughts

Well, that’s a lot of features and a lot to take in. But I do love a slot that has many sides to it. Sometimes simplicity is great, but it’s also a lot of fun to have a slot with so much going on, if it’s done correctly. I must say, I think Elk have smashed it again. It really syncs well, creating fun and lively gameplay. The concept, whilst not wholly new, is still super fun and different. It’s much more than a Slurpy reskin. There’s so much here that you feel fully invested.

We all know Elk’s RTP is lower than most, but the gameplay provides enough entertainment that you don’t mind. It’s like a concert. A band charging a fiver will leave you at the bar asking to turn that racket down. A £50 concert is much more likely to give you an evening’s entertainment, and we have to see it the same way. You pay for the fun, entertaining gameplay.

I for one, don’t mind that risk. You get a much better experience. Whilst it can take a while to learn and understand the mechanics and features, it’s certainly worth it. I can see this being a low-key favourite. It might not topple Pirots, but it could certainly be a recurring slot here at the 10p Gamer. I bet this will be popular with many of the community.

ELK Studios have always had a knack for creating games that feel just a bit different, and their upcoming release Giraffalot continues that trend in the best possible way. This one lands on 4th November 2025, and trust me — it’s as weird as it sounds, but it’s also one of the most entertaining new slots I’ve played recently.

At first glance, it’s a bright and playful game, but dig in and you’ll find some clever mechanics that make it surprisingly engaging. The theme is built around a fantasy kingdom ruled by giraffes — yes, giraffes — and that quirkiness actually works. ELK’s visuals and sound design are top-notch as always, with a cartoon-style polish that makes every spin feel lively.

But let’s get into what matters — how it plays. Giraffalot runs on five reels and four rows with 26 paylines, and the giraffes themselves are the stars of the show. They appear as expanding wilds, stretching right up the reels and often bringing multipliers with them. Land one and you’ll trigger a respin, giving you another shot to land another giraffe. Keep the chain going, and things can get properly cheesy very quickly. Miss a spin, though, and the sequence resets — so there’s always that tension between excitement and frustration that keeps you hooked.

There’s also a spreading wild mechanic that can turn nearby symbols into wilds or upgrade existing giraffes, and occasionally you’ll hit what’s called a Super Spin, which removes all the low-pay symbols and leaves only the big hitters on the reels. It’s a nice touch that keeps the base game interesting between features.

Of course, it wouldn’t be an ELK slot without some feature rounds to chase, and Giraffalot comes with two of them — the standard Bonus Game and the Super Bonus. The standard bonus triggers with three scatter symbols (on reels 1, 3 and 5), giving you five free spins to work with. The Super Bonus, though, is where things really get fun. Here, every spin guarantees at least one to four expanding giraffes on the screen, and when you start stacking those together with multipliers, the potential gets ridiculous. It’s pure chaos in the best way.

You can also use ELK’s X-iter feature to tweak how you play. It lets you pay extra for higher chances of landing the bonus or jump straight into the main features if your region allows it. For example, you can choose a Bonus Hunt mode with 4x odds, a Mega Bonus Hunt with 10x odds, or even a Magic Spin that guarantees two expanding giraffes and an automatic Super Bonus if you trigger one. Sadly, as always, these buy options won’t be available in the UK — but it’s nice to see the creativity there for other markets.

Performance-wise, Giraffalot comes with a 94% RTP and medium-high volatility, which means it’s got that typical ELK rhythm: quiet spells followed by sudden bursts of action that make you jump out of your chair. The max win sits at 10,000x, which is big enough to turn heads, but you’ll need a fair bit of giraffe luck to get there.

Now, the only real downside is that 94% RTP figure — it’s a bit on the low side, and you’ll definitely feel the grind if you’re on a cold streak. Still, when this game pops off, it really pops off. The expanding wilds can take over entire reels, and those multipliers make even small wins look impressive.

Overall, Giraffalot is one of those slots that just feels alive. It’s silly, energetic, and full of character, but underneath the humour and the theme there’s a genuinely solid game design. It captures that same “one more spin” feeling that ELK have nailed in previous releases, and the feature rounds can deliver some properly fun moments — even on low stakes.

I’d say Giraffalot is definitely worth a few spins when it drops in November. It’s not the most consistent game out there, and it won’t suit everyone, but if you enjoy a bit of chaos and like your slots to have personality, this one’s right up your alley.

One of Elk Studios’ biggest drops of 2024, Pirots 3 is the third game in the series – and honestly, it smashed expectations. Not many sequels manage that, but this one did. In true Elk fashion, it’s stacked with features, has a regular bonus and a super bonus, and to be fair… it can take a bit to wrap your head around everything that’s going on. On the 10p Gamer channel, this was the game that kicked off the Super Bonus Challenge series – where the mission was simple: keep coming back until we finally land that rare super bonus.

So, with all the moving parts, crazy mechanics, and random little features popping off – what can you actually expect when you load up Pirots 3?

Collection Meter

Up top, you’ve got the collection meter – basically keeping track of all the gems and wilds the birds hoover up (bandit doesn’t count here, he’s on his own mission). When that meter fills, it chucks out a feature symbol release. You can stack up to 3 of these at once, and when they go off, they all fire together. They’ll trigger before dynamite blows, at the start of free drops, or if the birds have run out of symbols to grab. When they pop, random gems turn into feature symbols – proper handy for building chaos on the grid.

Feature Symbols

This is where things get juicy. The special symbols in Pirots 3 are scatters, wilds, coins, upgrades, transforms, peanuts, keys, and dynamite. Each one does its thing as soon as it’s collected. Quick rundown:

• Upgrade Symbol – levels up the payout for gems of the same colour as the bird that grabbed it. Can go up to level 7.
• Upgrade All – levels up all gems at once, also maxing at 7.
• Key – triggers the bandit escape when nothing else is left to grab. If released, the bandit starts playing like the other birds, fighting duels along the way. Beat all 4 birds, and it kicks off the bandit coin game. Lose, and escape’s over.
• Transform – flips a cluster into the bird’s colour, with a chance of throwing in more feature symbols.
• Peanut – drops peanuts into empty spaces, letting birds cross gaps once.
• Dynamite – big boom. Blows birds and most symbols off the grid, causing a redrop and expanding the board to 8×7. Comes in small and big versions – one clears a patch, the other nukes the lot.
• Wild – classic substitution job, but bandit wilds turn into the highest-paying gem.
• Coin – pays straight cash times your bet. The Max Win coin fills the rest of the gap to max payout.

Coin Game

Clear the whole grid, and boom – you’re in the coin game. Here, coin bags and scorpions drop in while a train pulls up, dropping either birds or the bandit. The collection meter swaps out for a coin win counter. They’ll throw lassos at coin bags, but grab a scorpion and they’re out. It ends when no one’s left standing. If it finishes in normal mode, the game just drops in a fresh set of symbols and birds for another round.

Showdown Feature

When birds can’t grab anything else, two standing side by side might pull a Switcharoo (swapping spots). Sometimes, instead, they’ll kick off a proper Showdown. With 3 or more next to each other, a Showdown is guaranteed. They step apart, clear some symbols, then fire shots in random directions. Gems get wiped, scatters/keys/coins get collected, and dynamite gets lit up. After it’s all said and done, birds redrop and the grid refills.

Train Heist

Keep an eye on the train backdrops down the sides of the grid. If a bird collects on one side and can connect to symbols on the opposite side, you’ve got yourself a Train Heist. Once the bird finishes collecting, a train rolls in, scoops it up, and hands out 1–3 feature symbols before dropping the bird back on the opposite side to carry on collecting.

Bonus Game

Land 3 bonus scatters, and you’re in the bonus – starting with 5 free drops. Pick up extra scatters inside the bonus, and you’ll add +1 free drop each time. Regular bonus plays on your current grid size, but the super bonus upgrades it to 8×7. Both keep your meter progress and gem upgrades going the whole way.
